COVID PROTOCOLS: Please Read:

To protect the health and safety of our members, MWELA will require the following COVID safety protocols for all attendees at the conference:
  • Vaccination: All conference attendees will be required to show a copy or photograph of their COVID vaccination record. Those with a medical or religious exemption should email [email protected] by February 25, 2022, along with documentation demonstrating their claim for exemption, for review.
  • Negative COVID test result: All conference attendees (including those who have been vaccinated) will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID test result – either a PCR test taken within 48 hours of the conference, or an at-home rapid test taken within 24 hours of the conference. Attendees wishing to take an at-home rapid test should order one for themselves prior to the conference “(e.g., Abbott BinaxNow antigen test)”
Please be prepared to show a copy of your vaccination record and negative test result to MWELA staff upon check-in at the meeting registration table at the Embassy Suites. To preserve your privacy, vaccination and test results will be held in strict confidence by MWELA staff members only. Attendees may also be asked to sign a brief certification at registration regarding their vaccination and negative test result.

MWELA will have some rapid tests available for purchase ($12) at the registration desk for attendees who arrive without proof a negative test result. Attendee may not enter the conference until their negative test result can be confirmed (approx. 20-30 minutes). MWELA will also have a limited supply of KN95 Masks available.

In addition, the following protocols will be in place:
  • Masks will be required at all times during the meeting, unless you are actively eating or drinking. (Panelists, moderators, and other presenters will be permitted to unmask while speaking).
  • Hand sanitizer will be available.
  • Socially distant seating will be set between attendees in the main conference room.
  • We ask anyone who has symptoms of possible COVID (including runny nose, headache, sneezing, sore throat, persistent cough, or fever), or has recently been exposed to COVID-19 prior to the conference, refrain from attending.
  • We will abide by any additional D.C. and federal COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines that are in place at the time of the conference.
All event registrants acknowledge an assumption of risk. We hope you are comfortable with these measures intended to protect the health and safety of all attendees and their families.
